Madras Curry

The term "curry" was first used by British colonists in the 16th century and is an anglicism of the Indian word "kari" which refers to sauce-based dishes in Indian cuisine.

There are several types of curry that vary by region, and their color depends on their composition.

Our Madras curry consists of turmeric, coriander, cumin, pepper, ginger, cinnamon, and clove. This combination gives it a golden yellow color.

What recipes use curry?

Mixed with coconut milk, curry is perfectly cooked with chicken, white fish, shrimp, or vegetables, legumes, and tubers such as zucchini, chickpeas, potatoes or carrots.

If you feel bold, you can use curry in fruit-based desserts such as pies, salads and crumbles, or sprinkle it directly on apples, pears and bananas.

The highlight of curry? : sprinkle it in your preparation, preferably at the beginning of cooking, and you're done! Its sweet and spicy aroma will take care of the rest.

Our Madras Curry comes in 50 g and 100 g glass bottles, or in 250 g refill bags. Store it in a dry and cool place, protected from light. It doesn't expire, but we recommend using it within 24 months to retain its full flavor intensity.
