Here is a pepper for gourmets.
Grown in Cameroon, Penja white pepper was the first product to receive a Protected Geographical Indication label in Africa.
Penja white pepper is obtained by fermenting perfectly mature red pepper until its shell separates. Once dried, the white peppercorns are a real treasure of aromas and reveal powerful, wild, animal and slightly spicy notes. This is what is called a grand cru pepper.
Penja pepper’s strength needs powerful pairing. It works wonderfully with strong meats, both red and white, and especially with pork and lamb.
It can also be used on grilled vegetables (asparagus, mushrooms, cabbage) and brings great finesse to lean fish such as turbot, monkfish or sole.
Finally, ground on a cottage cheese, it will astonish your guests.
In order not to waste any of its flavors, crush or grind your Penja Pepper as a final touch, while dressing your dish.
Our Penja white pepper comes in a 65 / 130 g jar, or in a 250 g refill bag. Keep it in a dry and cool place, away from light. Penja pepper does not expire, but we recommend using it within 24 months to keep all the intensity of its flavors.
