Ceylon Cinnamon, from Latin Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Verum, has been used in Southern Asia for thousands of years for its warm and spicy aromas, and for its antiseptic, antiviral and antibacterial properties.
Since the Middle Ages, it has conquered Europe to become a must-have spice, especially during Christmas celebrations.
Ceylon Cinnamon differs from Cassia, from the Latin Cinnamomum Cassia, which is cultivated in China, and whose aromas are much less subtle and has fewer therapeutic properties.
Our genuine organic Ceylon Cinnamon comes from Sri Lanka, and is obtained by drying the bark of the cinnamon tree. Reduced in powder, it gives off an incredible aroma, which will perfume your sweet and salty dishes as well as your drinks (mulled wine, punch, cocktails...).
It goes perfectly with apple, pineapple, pear, orange, chocolate, squash or even oriental dishes...
Our organic Ceylon Cinnamon comes in a 50 / 100 g jar, or in a 250 g refill bag. Keep it in a dry and cool place, away from light. Cinnamon do not expire, but we recommend using it within 24 months to keep all the intensity of its flavors.
