CANDIED YUZU PEEL: JOURNEY TO JAPAN!
We have previously introduced you to Combava. You loved it.
What will you think of its cousin, Yuzu?
This small yellow citrus fruit originating from East Asia is often described as an indescribable combination of grapefruit, lemon, and tangerine. The yuzu closely resembles a lemon but has a thicker and bumpier skin.
Yuzu is particularly cherished for its distinctive, fresh, and fragrant aroma, more complex than most citrus fruits found in Europe.
Today, we have decided to offer it to you in small candied pieces.
This allows you to vary the delights, with a product that is equally suited for tasting as it is for cooking.
True treats, to be enjoyed as a gourmet snack, or to pair with your traditional recipes, be they sweet or savory.
WHAT PAIRINGS FOR YOUR CANDIED YUZU?
These small candied yuzu peels, ready-to-use, have one big flaw: they disappear all too quickly! Among hundreds of uses, we can suggest the following:
- Add the Yuzu to a fruit salad to give a sweet, exotic, slightly tangy touch.
- Place a few candied Yuzu peels to garnish a cocktail: guaranteed intrigue.
- Pair the candied peels with your cheese platters, akin to jam.
- Adorn a cake or a king's brioche with delicate slices of candied yuzu.
PACKAGING AND PRESERVATION OF YUZU
Our candied yuzu peels are offered in a 45g glass bottle or in a 250g refill bag. Store them in a cool, dry place, away from light. Candied yuzu peels do not expire, but we recommend using them within 48 months to retain all the intensity of their aromas.
