Turmeric is a key spice, famous for the numerous virtues of its active substance: curcumin. For thousands of years, it has been obtained by drying and grinding rhizomes of Curcuma longa, in Southeast Asia.

What are turmeric properties?
First, it is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It is particularly recommended in case of joint and muscle pains or digestive disorders.
It is also known to have preventive and curative properties against cancer and Alzheimer's disease. Finally, it helps the body to fight against stress and increases immunity tenfold on a daily basis.

Which recipes use turmeric?
With its peppery, hot taste and pleasant pungency, turmeric is used in the composition of the most famous exotic spice blends: curry, Raz-el-hanout, Colombo, Garam massala or Tandoori!

It can also be used on its own with fish, chicken, rice, or in a juice!
In addition to its health properties and its inimitable taste, it brings a magnificent orange color to your dishes.
